Cake Finale......

Ok, here is the last cake for my first session of Cake Class! I started off week one really rocky thinking "What the heck did I get myself into"? But tonight's class was fun. It's not easy that's for sure. You basically learn the basics on how to hold the bag properly, control & the correct pressure you put on it. How to write (which I'm not good at!) And most of all the rose. Making the rose was a Challange! I know now why people charge so much for cakes! I think I learned many thinkgs and my 2nd session starts in 2 weeks! I think it turned out pretty good and I'm sure the kids & Andy will enjoy eating it also. It's a French Vanilla Cake with Strawberry filling! I'll let ya know!

It's doesnt look like Spring!

It "technically" is Spring, however it doesn't look like Spring! It is typical weather in Wisconsin for this time of year I suppose. One day it's 60 degrees and the next day we get 4 inches of snow! What the heck! We had such nice weather and then last night 2 inches of snow fell upon us. Now the temperatures have been in the 30's and 40's. We hit 50's last week. I'm just waiting for the snow to finally stop falling and enjoy the Spring like weather. We are ready for it! Yesterday was another day of driving to Rockford, IL (about 3 1/2 hours) to pick up Jacqueline from her week long stay in AZ for spring break. She had a good time. Luckily we got home before the storms hit. My friend Betsy drove with me since Andy had to work. We had a good time. Was a long tiring day though. Anyway so today Jacqueline and Teresa went and saw some horror flick and liked it. I relaxed and we did our normal Sunday activities. Emilee stayed in her PJ's all day cuz that's what she wanted .. and well lets be honest, when she wants something she wants it and that's how it's going to be! I snapped a few pictures of her at first being upset I put her on daddy's lap but then after I bribed her with an M&M she cooperated! LOL.

Update on Emilee's potty situation is that she is now going poop in the potty! She no longer wears diapers! CANNOT TELL YOU HOW HAPPY I AM! HA! Anyway nothing much new to report.. we are all doing well.

Welcome "Baby" Olivia Jean Bonville

Well, she's finally here! Natalie and PJ are new parents to this beautiful little girl. I stopped by the hospital yesterday to see the all of them and they are doing great! Natalie looks really really good (better than I ever did!) and the baby was great! Natalie had her on Tuesday evening. She weighed 8lbs 3oz and was 20.25 inches. She's sooo tiny. She opened her eyes for me while I was there, she's super cute!

Congrats to the both of them!

Let's Eat Cake!

Well here it is...................................................

Tonight was my second try at decorating a cake! I learned how to make roses, since my frosting wasn't really stiff enough they didn't turn out too bad (2 on the top) I did my best, I have to say it looks ok. LOL.. Will taste MUCH better. I'm enjoying class. I'm not going to be a professional or anything, it's fun and I just want to learn a few things! Next week is the last class for this session and then I start the second class in 2 weeks. So check back in to see the next one.. :-)

And on a side note, Natalie had her baby about an hour ago. She was induced this morning around 830am I believe and well after about 12 hours of labor... welcome Olivia! I will post pictures once I see the new baby!

Happy Birthday BETTY!!

This is a picture of my GOOD Friend/2nd mom Betty! I've written about Betty alot on my blog. She's great! I miss her very much! I will see her in May when Emilee and I go to AZ to visit. Friday March 20th is her birthday! Her and her husband Paul are going to Disneyland for her Birthday since you get in free on your birthday! I hope she has a GREAT time! And I hope she takes care of herself also!!! (HINT HINT)
Betty has been a great friend and family member for about 4yrs or so. She makes me laugh and cry and sometimes both. We have such great fun together. I don't care what the age difference is, she is young at heart! I miss working with her, I miss seeing her, I just miss her. When you meet her and talk to her and interact with her and her beautiful family you will know what I'm talking about!

Betty have a great Birthday and I will see you in a few months!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day & updates....

Hello everyone. Hope all is well with you all. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
The weather here has been fantastic the last few days! I believe we topped at 67 or something today. Snow is pretty much gone at our house, a few piles here and there but Spring as definitely sprung! The girls are on Spring Break next week, so Jacqueline will be flying out Saturday and returning the following. Andy and I will be driving her to the airport since she is flying out of an airport I've never been to. Anyway, she will have fun for sure and enjoy some 80's and 90 degree weather. I can wait for that, I'm good with what we have.
Andy has been busy at his new job. It's ALOT of work, different work, but it's alot. He works in Appleton so he doesn't get home until late most nights.
Emilee is doing MUCH better. Last week she had walking pneumonia. So we really didn't go out much this weekend but her cough is is finally going away and she's on the road to recovery.
Last week my friend Betsy and I started a cake decorating class. I have always wanted to know how to properly frost a cake and do cool little things. So she talked me into going, well she really didn't have to talk me into it, so last Tuesday was our first class. Luckily for me, the teacher of the class is a lady I work with at my job. So yeah that's nice! Last week, we just basically learned all the different tools and was shown on to "level or tort" a cake. So our homework was to bake a cake, make the frosting and bring it to class. So today we brought our cakes and frosting and well.. needless to say I'm not posting my picture..lol. We didn't make enough frosting and my cake well I didn't freeze it so it was all crumbly. We were making a rainbow cake and I have to say I did really well w/the rainbow but again, their wasn't enough frosting to go around. But needless to say I had fun. I learned and practiced how to make stars, clouds and to write. Next week I will be MORE prepared and ready to frost. I will hopefully show you those pictures!!

Happy Birthday's & Happy Anniversary!

Today marks 3 very special events! We have 2 birthday's today and 1 Anniversary.. read on...

I believe it was 7 years ago on March 9th My sister Michelle and her now husband Glen were married! Who would have thought it would last!LOL. Well it has. They are a "special" couple in their own cute little way! These two were MEANT to be together if you've ever heard that expression. But seriously they are great! They were married in Vegas, which was one of the best Weddings I've ever attended. (Why didn't I do that!) I miss them both and wish you guys well on a Happy Anniversary! And lets go to VEGAS!!



Also on this day March 9th, 1970 something or another my oldest sister Jennifer was born. There's alot I could say about this one let me tell you! She's a GREAT mom to 3 wonderful boys, 2 which are twins. Connor is the oldest 7, and then Reed & Nathan whom are 5. Nathan is Autistic and she is SOO great with. Her boys are the world to her. We haven't always had the "greatest" relationship but we are sisters and we love each other!! It's the law! LOL! I miss her and the boys all the time. Hope you have a great day, you deserve it! In the picture below is her and Jacqueline, in which Jacqueline is more like Jennifer and sometimes well it's scary!

And also on this day, March 9th waaay after I was born! My cousin Jaclyn was born. Another March 9th birthday! Move over Jennifer you have company! LOL. Pictured below are Jaclyn and Jennifer on Jaclyn's Wedding a few years ago. Jaclyn was my younger cousin. I remember Jill (her sister) and I always picking on Jaclyn, she was shy and quiet. Well NOT ANYMORE! She's grown into a beautiful lady and has a wonderful husband and home. She's a great person for anyone to know! Happy Birthday Jaclyn ... I hope you have a GREAT day!

Sunday we had a Baby Shower for my cousin PJ's wife Natalie. They are expecting a baby girl very soon. Her due date is towards the end of the month but you never know! Natalie looks GREAT.. I think I looked like that at month 5, maybe! LOL. We had the shower at Aunt Sue's (whom looks great and her hair is super cute!) Jacqueline came with me to help and be apart of it. Not really Teresa's thing and she stayed home to help watch Emilee. It was during her nap time so I wasn't about to take her with me. The party was good and she got alot of nice things. I remember having your "first" baby and how exciting it can be. She's gonna be a great mom and it will be nice to FINALLY have another little girl around after all the boys!
