"LAZY SUNDAYS"

Sometimes the best days are the "lazy" ones. Just ask Wrigley, or any dog for that matter. Today, Emilee and I were outside enjoying the weather, and Wrigley was joining us. Really no matter the weather, 115 or 15 Wrigley would be outside laying out. Today was nice, a slight breeze and about 81,82 I'm going to guess. We had Emilee's pool out and she was playing in it. I did some reading, always enjoyable when you have the time. Wrigley decided he wanted in on the action so he came out and just lays out, he'll spread his body open and just lay there, he's the goofiest dog I swear. But nonetheless he was enjoying himself, as was I and Emilee.
You sometimes have to sit back, watch the little ones play, and if time permits, read a book.

I hope everyone was able to enjoy there day. Oh and I am counting down the days for when Jacqueline comes home. FYI.... 20 days!! :-)

New Addition

Welcome Maxwell Douglas McDermott. My good friend Laura, whom I've known since kindergarten had her second baby boy last week, Max. He's so adorable. Andy, Emilee and I drove down to Laura and Todd's home over the weekend so I could see the little guy. Now everyone who knows me knows that I always wanted a little boy. Well I have 3 wonderful girls and wouldn't trade them for anything... (well maybe sometimes, lol) Laura was hoping for a girl but she got a beautiful boy. I know she is happy with that, and so am I cuz now I have another little boy to admire.

Laura and Todd live in Grafton, about and hour and 20 minutes or so from us, but one reason I wanted to move back here was to see her more often, now that Emilee is older and not so cranky in the car, I hope to see her more often. Anyway, I wanted to share to you this awesome new baby. Laura, get some rest and take care...

Thanks for checking in.. here is another pic of Max...

Herritage Hill

Today, Kim and I took the kids to Herritage Hill to see they Budweiser Clydesdales. Herritage Hill is a historical park here in Green Bay. I have not been there since I was a kid. I loved going there and walking around and looking at all the old buildings and learning about what it was like to live back in the 1800's. They have original buildings and houses from back then. It's really a neat place. They also have a church that you can actually get married in. I am doing a wedding there in September, so it was nice to look inside, in person. Very small, but very cool. I took lots of pictures so I put them on a slide show for you all to enjoy. Just click on Julee's Photo's on the left hand side and it will take you to the page where the slide show is.

It wouldn't be a summer day in Wisconsin if it did not rain. It rained pretty hard for about 5 minutes, but we caught cover.

Thanks for checking in today...

Will HE? Won't HE?

Ok, for me I have my own opinion obviously about this whole Brett Favre thing. Living here in Green Bay is AWESOME when it comes to the Packers. But when things like this are going on it can get crazy. Since Friday you turn on the TV and all you hear is Brett this and Ted Thompson that and Packer Fans this and Aaron Rodgers that. It's enough to drive you mad!
Anyone that knows me, knows that I am a HUGE Packer fan. Through the good and the bad. Now yes Brett has been GREAT for the entire time he has been w/the Packers. I was not ready for him to retire. After this season I really thought he was going to come back for another year, at least one more. When the news came out that he was retiring, it was like Death came over the city. After a few days I started to let it go and think, ok we just have to focus on the future. Nothing we can do, he's done. As SAD as that was its what we had to do. And thats what the Packers had to do also. I'm sure in the back of their minds as well as me and other fans, we thought maybe he'll change his mind. After his appearance on David Letterman in April I was like, whats he saying? The last few years he's been contimplating retirement every season and every time we have to wait. He deserves that, i give him that. But seriously? Now he wants to come back with a few short weeks left before training camp? I know some fans are like YES bring him back, Rodgers your out.. but I know you cant just do that, even for Brett, well maybe you can. Its a catch 22. For me, I would LOVE to see him play again with Green Bay. I would hate to see him go play for (dare I say) the Bears, or the Vikings or any team for that matter. I dont think Brett would want to either. I saw Brett play his last game. It was a VERY COLD day in Green Bay. But I was there. I wouldnt trade it for the world. Whatever happens you can count on me being there watching, listening and praying it all works out.

Still Alive!

Hello everyone! I planted some flowers last week, just a few. I am no Mrs Green Thumb! But so far so good. I'm not much of a flower person, however I really like Lilies.. these were really pretty so I bought some. I wanted to show you how pretty they are.. Things grow a little different here in Wisconsin than in Arizona!
Update on Andy, he went back to work Monday and was in alot of pain, he is supposed to be on light duty but hello being a mechanic there is no such thing. Tuesday he ended up hurting himself, just probably over-doing it as he does and well he's back home. He really shouldnt go back to work until he's 100% better. Between the Workman's Comp people and his job its not easy on him. He has a Dr appt tomorrow and I just pray he is healing ok and doesn't need surgery again. I'll keep you posted.

Staying busy and looking forward to the weekend, thanks for checking in!

4th of July Celebration!

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July Weekend. As I had previously stated both Teresa and Jacqueline wouldn't be here this year, so we made the best of it. Friday we went over to grandma and grandpa's for a great BBQ with the family. It is always nice to see everyone. Emilee had fun running around in the backyard and picking food off everyone's plate! We had a very nice time. Then we went home, Emilee had an hour nap and then it was another BBQ w/our neighbors. We grilled out and ate once again with some great food. Emilee played with Jake and then the two "older kids", meaning Andy and Paul started lighting off fireworks. Emilee DOES NOT like the loud ones. After they would go off she would say "ok, ALL DONE".. lol it was cute.. she went to bed about 10:30pm. she lasted, my little party girl.
Saturday we were off to buy some flowers for me to plant outside in my little "garden".... I bought a few lillies and some gardanias and a plant .. not sure what kind... ive never been a mrs. green thumb but i thought i'll give it a whirl.. I'll keep you all updated! After Emilee and Jakes naps they hit the pool, they had a good time, Emilee of course didnt want to get out. But she looks sooo cute :)

Anyway, the neighbor kids came back over and we lit some more fireworks... Emilee said pretty and enjoyed them better... Us adults sat by the fire and enjoyed some of Kim's yummy Margarita Slush!
All in All we had a great time, was weird with the girls but we made do. Hope everyone had a fun safe time... enjoy the pics and thanks for checking in..
